Nepalisrael.com, Nepalese Ambassador to Israel, Mr. Dhan Prasad Pandit, has sought updates from Israeli authorities regarding the situation and rescue efforts of Bipin Joshi, a Nepalese student who went missing during last year’s Hamas attack.
On Thursday, Ambassador Pandit met with Brigadier General (Ret.) Gal Hirsch, Advisor to the Israeli Prime Minister and Coordinator for Hostages and Missing Persons, at Hirsch’s office in Bnei Brak. The meeting focused on discussions surrounding the condition and status of Bipin Joshi and other hostages.
Brigadier General Hirsch informed Ambassador Pandit that there has been no confirmation of certain reports circulating in various media outlets regarding the hostages’ situation. He particularly clarified that claims about Egypt exchanging lists of hostages with Hamas lack substantiated evidence. Additionally, Hirsch stated that the news published in Nepalese media concerning Bipin Joshi is not based on verified sources.
Ambassador Pandit emphasized the need to strengthen coordination among Nepal, Israel, and other relevant stakeholders to expedite rescue efforts. He urged for continuous dialogue not only with the Israeli government but also with diplomats from other Arab nations on international platforms to accelerate the rescue process.
This initiative is expected to further bolster bilateral relations between Nepal and Israel while leveraging international cooperation to ensure the safe rescue of Bipin Joshi.
