Katz warns Lebanese state won’t be spared if Hezbollah cease-fire fails

Defense Minister Israel Katz warned on Tuesday that if the fragile cease-fire in the north collapses, Israel will no longer differentiate between Lebanon and Hezbollah.

“We will enforce the agreement with maximum force and zero tolerance,” he said, during a visit to the northern border, citing Monday’s rocket fire on Mount Dov as a test Israel responded to with strength. “What was, will not be,” Katz declared.

Throughout its nearly 14-month war with Hezbollah, Israel has refrained from targeting Lebanon’s critical infrastructure and other assets, concentrating exclusively on sites linked to the Iranian-backed terrorist group.
