Israeli forces demolish three homes near Ramallah |

Israeli occupation forces demolished three Palestinian homes on Wednesday in the town of Shuqba, west of Ramallah in the central West Bank, in one of the largest single-day demolition incidents reported in the area in recent months.

Adnan Shalash, head of the Shuqba Village Council, stated that Israeli forces demolished two additional homes belonging to Khaled Abdullah Farah Qaddah and his brother Farah Abdullah Qaddah, raising the total number of demolished homes since the morning to three.

The first demolished home, owned by Khaled Qadah, consisted of two floors with a total area of about 200 square meters and housed six family members.

The second home, owned by his brother Farah, was also a two‑story structure measuring roughly 380 square meters and sheltering eleven people.

The demolitions followed the destruction earlier in the day of a third home belonging to their brother Ibrahim Qadah, a four‑story building with each floor measuring approximately 300 square meters and housing nine residents.

Shalash said the families had been notified of demolition orders five years ago, with the combined value of the three homes estimated at 13 million shekels.

He added that despite years of legal efforts to overturn the orders, the families were taken by surprise when Israeli bulldozers invaded the area on Wednesday and carried out the demolitions without prior warning.

The Wall & Colonization Resistance Commission stated that Israeli authorities carried out 538 demolition operations across the occupied West Bank last year, destroying 1,400 structures, including 304 inhabited homes, 74 uninhabited homes, 270 economic facilities, and 490 agricultural structures.

The demolitions were concentrated in Hebron in the southern West Bank, occupied Jerusalem, Ramallah in the central West Bank, Tubas in the northeastern West Bank, and Nablus in the northern West Bank.
