A drone was launched toward Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence in Caesarea on Saturday, raising tensions amid ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. According to Netanyahu’s office, neither the prime minister nor his wife was present at the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported. The Israeli military later confirmed that the drone, which originated from Lebanon, struck a structure in the area, though it was unclear whether Netanyahu’s residence was directly impacted.
The Israeli military revealed that three drones had been launched from Lebanon on the same day, two of which were intercepted. Additionally, a barrage of projectiles targeted northern Israel, with air raid sirens sounding throughout the region. The escalating conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has seen increasing cross-border attacks, with Lebanese authorities reporting two fatalities from an Israeli airstrike in Jounieh, marking the first strike in that area since hostilities began.
The situation continues to intensify, as Hezbollah launched a series of rockets at the Israeli city of Haifa and areas further north. The group also claimed responsibility for deploying drones loaded with explosives toward an Israeli missile defense base near Hadera. In response, the Israeli military announced the destruction of Hezbollah’s regional command center in a Friday airstrike, further fueling the cycle of retaliation.
